openCARP high conductivity simulations
I am trying to simulate a tissue surrounded with bath and electrodes on the surface of the tissue. I am using a high conductivity value to for the electrodes. What I am expecting is to have the same signal in all points that belong to the electrode but this is not the case. I tried with different values of conductivity from 0.7 S/m (same as bath) to 7e6 S/m with severals steps in between and different dts from 20 us to 1 us.
To further investigate this phenomenon we run the same exact simulation using the same mesh in acCELLerate and conductivity values and we got the expected result. All signals from the electrode are the same.
You can download one of the meshes we tested and the parameters.par used with openCARP from an email link you will get @gunnar.seemann @aneic @gernot.plank @axel.loewe @edward.vigmond
Here you can see a picture taken of the signals from all points of one electrode in the simulation of openCARP
You can also find a Matlab figure file which is a preliminary result using aCELLerate but it is the expect result. The blue line corresponds to one electrode and if you zoom in you can look at all signals from all point that belong to that region.
