Should we keep IMP source files in the repository?
Problem to solve with the new feature
The Ionic Models and Plugins (IMP) source files located at physics/limpet/src/imps_src
are autogenerated at compilation time, but they are manually maintained in the Gitlab repository.
As a consequence, we always have to ensure manually that the source files are updated in the repository when the corresponding .model
file is modified, which is prone to error.
Should we then keep these files in the repository, or could we delete them? One argument in favor of deleting them is that they are regenerated anyway (even if they already exist) the first time openCARP is compiled on a new system.
Intended users
Would make maintenance of the code easier.
Proposal
We could delete the IMP source files in the Gitlab repository.
